PURPOSE: A system and method for buying insurance by using motion picture scenario data in an interactive mode is provided so that a user can select detailed items, confirm an insurance bill and decide whether to buy the insurance. CONSTITUTION: A user connects to an insurance company through a communication means such as the internet, selects insurance among various insurance offers, and receives the public announcement for the selected insurance. A user system(10) transmits/receives necessary motion picture scenario data to/from a database module(32) of the insurance company. Here, the motion picture scenario data are provided in an interactive mode. A host computer(30) stores information of the user required to buy insurance on the basis of the information from the user system(10), and calculates an insurance bill. The user system (10) connects to the host computer (30) through a computer, an interactive TV and an internet TV. The host computer (30) includes a database module (32), which stores various data of customers.
