A kind of purpose: method, telecommunication management network (TMN) platform for connecting a network management system (nms) is provided to the NMS application program plans with TMN platforms automatically, TMN platforms are connect with a Common Management Information Protocol (CMIP), if a user utilizes the plan of NMS application programs, even if when the connection between the plan of NMS application programs and TMN platforms or TMN platforms and CMIP is cancelled, cause, when NMS application program plans are not utilized some time. A kind of construction: method, for connecting telecommunication management network (TMN) platform of a network management system (nms), include the following steps:: if a NMS application program plans are mobile, connect the NMS application programs plan with TMN platforms or connection TMN platforms, it has a Common Management Information Protocol (CMIP), connects the NMS application program plans with transmission device; If the plan of NMS application programs is not utilized for a long time by a user, cancel the connection between the plan of NMS application programs and TMN platforms and between TMN platforms and CMIP; If inputting the requirement to transmission device by the user of NMS application programs plan, the state of the connection of NMS application program plans is given for change with TMN platforms and the TMN platforms with CMIP; If the plan of NMS application programs is connected with TMN platforms, if TMN platforms are connected with CMIP, user request is provided to transmission device, otherwise, the NMS application programs plan with TMN platforms of connection simultaneously connects the TMN platforms with CMIP, then providing user's request to transmission device.
