PURPOSE: A metal foil and its treatment method are provided which improves combining and peel strength and is favorable in treating waste metal ions. CONSTITUTION: A metal foil is treated by the following procedure. A metal foil is contacted with acidic solution. Position the metal foil in a nickel treatment bath including about 1-50 g/l ammonium salt and 10-100g/l nickel compound. The current is applied in this nickel treatment bath. Nickel flash layer is applied into the metal foil. This treatment enables a metal foil to have high peel strength and not to show treatment transfer when combined as a laminate.
