A switched circular polarization antenna comprises a radiation element (11) that radiates two linearly polarized waves orthogonal to each other; first and second 180 DEG phase shifters (12a, 12b); and a 90 DEG hybrid circuit with one end (13) terminated. Such a switched circular polarization antenna or a switched circular polarization phased-array antenna has improved cross-polarization discrimination.
