A method of identifying persons for the purpose of preventingfraud in the receipt of benefits. The method comprises inputtinginto a data base biometric data relating to the persons inquestion such as sex, age, eye colour, height, weight, facialimages, voice prints, body prints etc. Such data is then used toassign a time period in which each such person may be present atan issue station to receive the benefit. The presence of eachsuch person at the issue station is detached and the benefit isissued only if the person reports to the issue station during thattime period.
