Monopulse radar operation is improved by nulling asingle mainlobe jammer and multiple sidelobe jammers whilemaintaining the angle measurement accuracy of the monopulseratio. A sidelobe jammer cancelling adaptive array iscascaded with a mainlobe jammer canceller, imposing amainlobe maintenance technique or constrained adaptationduring the sidelobe jammer cancellation process so thatresults of the sidelobe jammer cancellation process do notdistort the subsequent mainlobe jammer cancellation process.The sidelobe jammers and the mainlobe jammer are thuscancelled sequentially in separate processes.
