"PROCESS FOR HYDROGENING A BENZENOPOLICARBOXYLIC ACID OR A DERIVATIVE OF THIS OR A MIXTURE OF TWO OR MORE OF THESE, DI (ISOPENTYLIC) ESTER OF CYCLEEXANIC-1,2-DICARBOXYLIC ACID, USE OF A CYCLEEXOXYCHIROCHYLICHIC EXCHANGE OR MORE OF THESE "The invention relates to a process for hydrogenating a polycarboxylic benzene acid or a derivative thereof or a mixture comprised of two or more of this with a hydrogen containing gas in the presence of a catalyst. Said catalyst comprises ruthenium as an active metal that is deposited alone or together with at least one metal from subgroups I, VII or VIII of the periodic table on a support, by means of which the support contains macropores. The invention also concerns new hydrogenated products obtained by hydrogenating polycarboxylic benzene acid (derivatives) and the use of these as plasticizers in plastics.
