"COMPOUND, PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION, USE OF A COMPOUND, AND, PROCESSES TO TREAT OR REDUCE THE RISK OF DISEASES OR CONDITIONS OF THE HUMAN BEING, TREAT OR REDUCE THE RISK OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASE AND THE RISK OF PAIN IN A PERSON WHO IS SUFFERING, , OF SUCH DISEASE AND FOR THE PREPARATION OF COMPOUND ". New compounds of formula (I) are provided: where A represents a benzo ring; a six-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring containing 1 to 3 nitrogen atoms; or a five-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring containing 1 to 3 heteroatoms that can be the same or different and are selected from O, N and S; and R ^ 1 ^, R ^ 2 ^, R ^ 3 ^ and X are as defined in the Specification, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and enantiomers and tautomers thereof; along with processes for their preparation, compositions containing them and their use in therapy. The compounds are inhibitors of nitric oxide synthase and are therefore particularly useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of inflammatory diseases and pain.
