"WIRELESS MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM, RADIO BASE STATION FOR USE WITH THE SAME, AND, SIGNAL TRANSMISSION PROCESS FROM A RADIO BASE STATION FOR USE ON A TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK". It is a radio base station with efficient use of energy for use in closed environments that is used with wireless cellular telecommunications systems. a small unit volume construction is achieved by reducing the level of energy dissipation, and subsequently, the dimensions of the heat sink required for heat dissipation. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of transmitter signals are combined in a hybrid combining device for generating a pair of output signals. A first output signal is transmitted through a dipole antenna resulting in a vertical polarization and a second output signal is transmitted through a horizontal antenna producing a horizontal polarization. In addition, a 90 ° phase shift is introduced between the signals prior to transmission. The resulting simultaneous transmission of the perpendicularly oriented signals provides a field with substantially circular polarization in the coverage area. The energy dissipation is reduced by transmitting the signal with horizontal polarization as it is converted into useful energy that would otherwise be dissipated in a load resistor.
