"PROCESSES FOR PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE TRANSFER OF SOFTWARE TO THE INSIDE OF A MOBILE PHONE, TO TRANSFER SOFTWARE TO A MOBILE PHONE AND TO ACTIVATE SOFTWARE TRANSFERRED TO THE INSIDE OF AN INACTIVE MEMORY OF A MOBILE PHONE, AND, APPLIANCES FOR TRANSFERING A TELEPHONE PHONE. CELLULAR AND TO RECEIVE TRANSFERRED SOFTWARE TRANSMITTED TO A CELLULAR PHONE ". The present invention comprises a method and apparatus for transferring software to a remotely located cell phone (110) via wireless communication. The cell phone (110) includes two memories (130, 150) for storing software with one memory (130) storing the existing software and the second memory (150) available for receiving and transferring the new software. The present invention additionally includes a processor (100) in communication with the cell phone (110) via the cell phone network (120). The processor (100) contains the new software and controls the transfer of the software from the processor (100) to the cell phone memory (150). The cell phone (110) includes a controller (140) to load the received software into the cell phone's memory and to perform a test run on the new software.
