PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a inline type color picture tube capable of reducing the moving amount of electron beams than the conventional one, and accommodating for the request of correct image display performance. ;SOLUTION: An inline type color image receiving tube is constituted of a panel inside which a phosphor screen is formed, an envelope having a neck part connected to the panel through a funnel, an electron gun having a plurality of cathodes 4 for emitting electron beams arranged on the horizontal axis installed in the neck part, a convergence magnet fixed to the outside of a neck part, constituted as at least two-piece set, having a magnet plate, and the magnet plate near to a cathode 4 generates a stronger magnet field that a magnet field far from the cathode 4. The inline type color picture tube has a cathode support strap 14d in which inductance in the vertical direction of a path of a magnet plate correction magnetic field in the fixing position of the magnet plate and inductance in the lateral direction are made equal or almost equal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
