PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a position of an indicator to be learned without moving eyes on a tablet from a screen by retrieving the shape of a cursor to be displayed on a display from a storage device and varying the shape of the cursor as a function of a secondary area of menu items on which the indicator is placed on the tablet. ;SOLUTION: A code is used for searching for respective menu items 105 to 115 on the tablet 15 via an XY coordinate by a system. Thus, an area in the menu item 105 is defined between the small number of X coordinate values and the small number of Y coordinate values. In what menu frame or area the indicator is placed is determined and the shape of predetermined corresponding cursor is expressed on the display by determining the coordinate value of the indicator which is placed on the tablet 15 and incorporating the coordinate value in a program by the system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
