PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel capable of evaluating the color of processed tea leaves stably and in high accuracy through visual inspection, and to provide a method for evaluating the color of tea leaves using the above vessel. ;SOLUTION: This vessel which is used in evaluating the color of tea leaves by visual inspection in tea manufacturing process, is such one that color samples enabling comparative evaluation with the color of sampled tea leaves are integrally or detachably provided at the bottom 1a and/or the peripheral wall 1b of the vessel. This vessel is placed in a light-screened chamber affected by no external light, and the color of tea leaves is evaluated by irradiating both the tea leaves and the color samples with the identical light.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
