PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe, easy and nutritionally excellent improving agent for defecation, fecal properties and a fecal malodor, an enteral nutritive food containing the improving agent, a food and drink having improving effects on the fecal malodor and further a feed capable of improving the malodor of excreta of animals such as a pet. SOLUTION: This improving agent for defecation, fecal properties and a fecal malodor is obtained by including a cocoa component contained in cacao mass as an active ingredient. The enteral nutritive food or food and drink having improving effects on the fecal malodor is obtained by including the cocoa component contained in the cacao mass and other nutrient sources. Furthermore, the feed having improving effects on the fecal malodor is prepared by including the cocoa component contained in the cacao mass in a feed. Cocoa or the cacao mass or both are preferably used as a raw material containing the cocoa component. A protein, a lipid, a glucide, vitamins and minerals are preferably used as the other nutrient sources in the enteral nutritive food.
