PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to faithfully express the timbre changes by various kinds of the renditions intrinsic to natural musical instruments. ;SOLUTION: Respective sets of the data on C (coupling) performance information are read out by one piece each and are timing decoded. The data of either the event data or rendition chord data is read out and the event or rendition chord is generated. The rendition subjected to automatic decision (or manual assignment) at the time of rendition chord generation, the assigned event to be imparted with the rendition, the various parameters intrinsic to the rendition and the beat number to continue the rendition are written. The respective sets of the data are read out and are stored into a buffer. Among the ungenerated event, the event corresponding to the assigned event stored in the buffer is searched and a prescribed mark is attached thereto. The sound source control by this assigned event is not carried out at the time of the assigned event with this mark. The musical tones having the musical tone changing characteristics are formed according to the information on such assigned event and the rendition, etc., stored in the buffer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
