PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide blocks for constructing a fermentation tank capable of easily constructing a multifunctional and highly practical fermentation tank and a method for constructing a fermentation tank or a multiple-tank juxtaposed fermentation tank by using the same. SOLUTION: Both the left and right side wall parts 4, 5 made of concrete, the upper plate part 6 and the bottom plate part 7 are used to form a box-shaped framework having a rectangular cross-sectional shape and having the hollow part 8 piercing the center portion thereof. Projected edge pedestals 11 extending from the side wall parts upwardly are formed to both left and right side edges of the upper plate part and a laterally projected edge part 12 is formed to one or both of the lower parts of the left and right side wall parts and a bottom joint part formed by partially projecting the reinforcing bars 13 embedded in the boxed shaped framework from the leading end part of the projected edge part is provided and joint parts 14 are provided to the front and rear side end edge parts of the left and right side wall parts and, further, recessed groove parts for joints are provided to both front and rear end surface parts of the box-shaped framework formed into a rectangular shape by both left and right side wall parts, the upper plate part and the bottom plate part.
