PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance wettability of a heat transfer tube by forming a rough surface subjected to blasting on the inner surface of the heat transfer tube. SOLUTION: Absorbing solution (concentrated solution) being fed from a regenerator is passed through a solution distributing pipe 7 and sprayed from each spray nozzle 8 to the uppermost part 9 of the inner surface of a heat transfer tube 4. The sprayed solution flows down on the inner surface of each heat transfer tube 4 being roughened by blasting while absorbing refrigerant vapor being introduced from an evaporator into the heat transfer tube 4 through an upper header 2. After absorbing the refrigerant vapor, the absorbing solution (diluted solution) is collected in a lower header 3 and returned back to the regenerator. White fused alumina having grain size of #16 (JIS R6001) is employed as an abrasive material for blasting the inner surface of the heat transfer tube 4. Pressure of compression air is set at about 5 kg/cm2.
