PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fatigue strength of a steel sheet without causing difficulty in weldability, weld heat affected zone toughness or the like by allowing it to have a specified compsn. contg. C, Si, Mn, P, S, Al, N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and a specified metallic structure and controlling the intensity ratio between two specified crystal planes at the inside of the steel sheet which are measuring planes parallel to the steel sheet surface to a specified range. ;SOLUTION: This steel has a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.02 to 0.2% C, 0.01 to 0.8% Si, 0.3 to 2.5% Mn, 0.0001 to 0.04% P, 0.0001 to 0.02% S, 0.005 to 0.1% Al, 0.001 to 0.01% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. Then, as for the metallic structure, ferritic phases are allowed to occupy by ≥70%, and the ratio between the intensity ratio of the α(111) plane and the intensity ratio of the α(100) plane at the inside of the steel sheet which are measuring planes parallel to the surface of the steel sheet is controlled to 1.25 to 2.0. In the case 0.003 to 0.1% Nb, 0.003 to 0.1% Ti and 0.005 to 0.2% V are furthermore added as the components of the steel, rolling in an unrecrystallized region can be executed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
