PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a clock of an up stream having a coherent phase by generating a master clock of a central unit(CU) and also generating a carrier and a chip clock of an up stream having the phases synchronized with each other at a remote unit(RU).;SOLUTION: Another synthesizer 62 of a CU uses a master clock signal existing on a line 14 to generate a synchronized local carrier existing on a line 64 that is synchronized with the carrier of an up stream used by every RU. A clock of a down stream of the CU is generated to have a phase coherent with the master clock of the CU, and the RU restores a clock of a down stream to have a phase that is coherent with the master clock of the CU and uses this restored clock to generate a carrier and a clock of the up stream.
