PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a tetrapolyimide film having a BTDA/PMDA/PDA/DDE block component, to provide a process for preparing the same, and to prepare a tape for automatic tape bonding using the same as a substrate. ;SOLUTION: This tetrapolyimide film comprises a block component comprising 20 to 90mol%, based on dihydrate, of 3,3',4,4'-benzophenonetetracarboxylic acid dihydrate(BTDA), 10 to 80mol%, based on dihydrate, of pyromellitic acid(PMDA), 30 to 90mol%, based on diamine, of phenylenendimaine(PDA), and 10 to70mol%, based on diamine, of diaminodiphenyl ether(DDE).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
