PURPOSE: To enable the mass-production of conidiospores of a new microbial strain belonging to genus Hyphomycetes which is a pathogenic mold useful as a highly selective microbial herbicide, etc., for rushnut (Eleocharis kuroguwaiohwi) and causing little problem on environmental pollution, etc., by culturing the mold under aeration and agitation in a liquid medium produced by adding oatmeal to a specific semisynthetic medium. ;CONSTITUTION: Oatmeal is added to a semisynthetic medium containing 0.01-1% carbon source, 0.01-1% nitrogen source, 0.001-0.1% magnesium sulfate, 0.001-0.1% potassium chloride, 0.005-0.5% monopotassium phosphate as inorganic salts, 0.001-1% yeast extract and 0.001-1% peptone. The conidiospore of a new microbial strain belonging to genus Hyphomycetes which is a pathogenic mold for rushnut is produced in a mass by culturing the strain in the obtained liquid medium under aeration and agitation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
