The method involves transmitting digital messages to number of sets of equipment connected to an Ethernet(RTM) bus. Each set of equipment has a preliminary duration value allocated to it. At the same time, each set of equipment monitors transmissions along the line. If transmissions across the line are not active in a period which is not allocated to the equipment (Gt) above a set duration, the time can be re-allocated to one of the sets of equipments in the stop transmission state.
