Solid bowl screw centrifuge for separating suspension into at least one liquid phase and solid which settles on the inner bowl surface under the effect of centrifugal force and is fed by the worm (2) which rotates at a different speed of rotation from that of the bowl (1) along the inner face of the bowl to the solids discharge (5) located in the one axial end region of the bowl, which inner face of the bowl is designed as simply as possible in order to prevent a movement of solid in a circumferential direction of the bowl (1), which movement promotes wear and increases the requirement for drive power, in that a surface structure is formed on the inner face of the bowl by means of a sprayed-on, thin adhesive coating (7) whose surface facing the worm (2) is rough.
