The arrangement has one or more recording units which generate a latent image on a body optically. Each unit has several light emitting elements with a shape whereby t/y = T/Y less than 1, where t is the width of one pixel of the latent image in a sub scan direction (SS), y is a length of the pixel in a main scan direction (MS), T is a width of a light emitting element in the sub scan direction and Y is a length of the element in the main scan direction. An Independent claim is also included for an exposure arrangement.
