The stamp (1) has radial teeth (2) projecting axially from its end face. These form end cutters (3), of which radial edges are inclined, their projection decreasing radially inward. The teeth are angled ( alpha , beta ) forward in a sense of notional rotation. Outer edges of the circumferentially rearward extension of the backs of the teeth, form helical cutting edges (5) with pitch angle psi . Leading faces of the teeth are undercut at angle alpha .
