New reaction products (I) are obtained from flavonoids (II), formaldehyde and secondary amines (III). New water-soluble reaction products of formula (I) are obtained from flavonoids (II), formaldehyde and amines of formula (III). R1, R2 = alkyl, alkenyl, alkanol or alkyl ether residue; or a residue containing a carbonyl group (bonded to the N or to one or two C atoms of an alkyl chain); R2 and R3 being same or different or linked via one or more heteroatom(s) or an alkyl chain; R3 = residue of a kaempferol or a quercitin.
