The present invention relates to a method for producing loess in the form of particles by using the plasticity of loess for using a loess material for a water purifier and the use of the loess material for a purifier.;While the conventional loess applications have been used without processing the loess, the present invention enables the loess to be processed and formed at the same time as a filter material for a water purifier.;Activated carbon, ion exchange resin, and zeolite are used as filter media for water purifiers in the past, but these filters are expensive and require only a few purification steps to remove specific contaminants. However, a water purifier using powdered or granular loess as a filter material treats not only organic substances present in water but also nitrogen, phosphorus, and heavy metals, and the treatment efficiency is also excellent.;Therefore, the present invention can be very useful for solving the shortage of drinking water caused by pollution of the four major rivers in Korea.
