This chronograph system provided on a competition machine or the like enabling the user to display instantly and accurately an overview of his accomplished performances. This chronograph system comprising a magnetic switch 3 connected to a digital chronograph 2 is provided on the competition machine 1. This system is actuated by a magnetic field 4 provided along "start-finish" lines by the passing of the competition machine 1. In order to prevent the user of the competition machine 1 needing a third person in order to ascertain his performances, he will adapt the chronograph system which will accord him the possibility of ascertaining instantly and accurately the performances which he has achieved.
