PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make reinforcment work for an existing RC structure easy and to shorten term of works. ;SOLUTION: Connecting members 2 and 3 are welded respectively to both of side edges of a steel plate 4, and thereby an earthquake-proof reinforcement steel construction material 1 is made up. Four pieces of the steel construction materials 1 are wound round an existing RC structure K, being joined with one another with each of the connecting members 2 and 3, and after fixation is made with fixing bolts 9 and reverse-screwed bolts 10 an opening (g) is filled with a liquid hardening material 23 such as nonshrink mortar, and hardening is made afterward. Thereby tenacity and yield strength are improved for the steel construction material 1 and the existing RC structure K is reinforced therewith. As the steel construction materials 1 are manufactured efficiently at a factory and joined together at a construction site only by connecting the connecting members 2 and 3 without welding the construction materials together, term of works can be shortened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
