PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shimmy test equipment that closely simulates the generation of the shimmy of a real machine. SOLUTION: In the base, a rotating drum 37 is driven to rotate around a horizontal axial line. Frame 23, 24 are provided to stand on the base, against which an upper weight 31, a center weight 32 and a lower weight 33 are driven for up or down change in position. A front leg installation means 35 is provided under the lower weight 33. The front leg installation means 35 comprises a torsion shaft 87 and a moment of inertia adjustment means 97, and a front leg of aircraft 36 is installed thereto. The torsion shaft 87 extends vertical to the imaginary perpendicular plane which contains the axis of rotating drum 37. The moment of inertia adjustment means 97 adjusts the moment of inertia relating to an axial line L2 of the torsion shaft 87. The torsional moment of the torsion shaft 87 and the moment of inertia around the axial line are adjustable. Moreover, a turbulence is applied from the side to the front leg 36 by a turbulence actuator 38.
