PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-definition sound image localizing effect without expanding circuit scale. ;SOLUTION: Based on a coordinate command P, a CPU 1 reads header transmission function(HRTF) coefficient data (h) from of an HRTF coefficient data memory M2 and reads waveform data out of a waveform buffer memory M1 for the unit of a frame. The burst transfer of the waveform data and HRTF coefficient data (h) is performed via a bus 2 to a simple finite impulse response(FIR) computer 3 for each frame cycle. The simple FIR computer 3 intermittently processes the waveform data. Therefore, when the number of samples in one frame is defined as (f) and the number of taps at an FIR filter is defined as (k), the waveform data larger than f+k are transferred per frame. Thus, since the waveform data more than (k) can be transferred while being overlapped between the adjacent frames, the waveform data can be processed continuously.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
