PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal insulation material used for burning a mosquito incense coil thereon in a dish-like vessel for burning the mosquito incense coil, capable of keeping the burning period long, and hardly causing burning away of the mosquito incense coil, and further to provide a dish-like vessel for burning the mosquito incense coil by using the thermal insulation material. ;SOLUTION: This thermal insulation material 1 used for burning a mosquito incense coil 4 by placing the mosquito incense coil on the surface thereof comprises an inorganic fiber, and has a surface roughened by the many inorganic fibers in a fluffed state. The inorganic fiber is a glass wool, and the glass fiber in a fluffed state on the surface has 3-8 mm length of the fluffed part.
