PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely establish contact with a user of other terminal with whom the contact is previously established in a cyberspace. ;SOLUTION: An avatar A as the other self of a user of the user terminal on which the cyberspace is constructed and an avatar C as the other self of the user of the other terminal are displayed on the cyberspace which is constructed on the user terminal. When a 'house' of the avatar C is opened by the avatar C, a metaphor 31 corresponding to the avatar C' s house is displayed on the cyberspace of the user terminal. The metaphor 31 is capable of being arranged at a desired position on the cyberspace by drag and drop by the user. Afterward, the contact with the avatar C is established at any time by making access to the avatar C's 'house' in the cyberspace of the user terminal by the avatar A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
