PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a quality of a plotted/outputted character by subdividing an oblique line outline every time when it deviates by a reference deviation quantity in the coordinate axis direction of device coordinates, and arranging a starting point, an end point and a dividing point of the oblique line outline on an integral intersection of the device coordinates by counting fractions over 1/2 as one and disregarding the rest on the coordinate axis of the respective points. SOLUTION: A subdividing part 13 fulfills a function of subdividing an oblique line outline inclined to the coordinate axis of device coordinates by a reference deviation quantity in the coordinate axis direction of the device coordinates up to an end point from a starting point and a function of subdividing a curve outline up to an end point from a starting point. An integer converting part 4 performs integer convering processing to arrange a starting point, an end point and a dividing point of the oblique line outline or the curve outline on an integral intersection of the device coordinates by counting fractions over 1/2 as one and disregarding the rest on the coordinate axis of the respective points. Therefore, the number of boxes of a coordinate grid through which the outline passes can be reduced as a whole, and a width of an oblique stem can be thinned without spending processing time so much, and a quality of a plotted/outputted character can be largely improved.
