PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use paper as a medium to emit a fragrance, and control the emitting of the fragrance by a method wherein a fragrant material which emits a fragrance is coated on a heat-sensitive paper by covering with a covering material which is heat-fused or thermally broken. SOLUTION: A resin capsule 102 which contains a fragrant material 103 is fixed onto a base material 104 by a binder 105, and a fragrance generating heat-sensitive paper 101 under a rolled sheet form is formed by taking up the base material 104 into a tape-form. For this heat-sensitive paper 10, the resin capsules 102 containing, e.g. either one of five kinds of the fragrant materials 103, which become an original fragrance, are respectively coated in regions A1-A5, and by selecting either one of the regions A1-A5, or simultaneously selecting a plurality of the regions A1-A5, the fragrance can be emitted after being synthesized. Also, in regions B1-B8, the resin capsules 102 containing the fragrant material 103 wherein one fragrance solely becomes the fragrance of itself, are respectively coated, and when necessary, the resin capsules 102 in corresponding regions B1-B8 are heat-fused, or thermally broken, and a desired fragrance information can be output.
