PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output using PWM signals similar to sine wave information and also make circuit cost low, by obtaining three-phase synthetic chopping signals by synthesizing a reference chopping signal, negative-side shift signal and positive-side shift signal, and further obtaining an output by changing the phase of these signals. ;SOLUTION: Reference chopping generating means 1 generates a chopping signal 'a' consisting of repetitive frequency of 3 times of an integer of the output frequency and a receptive frequency of 3 times of an integer. Synthetic chopping generating means 2 inverts the phase of the chopping output from the reference chopping generating means and generates a positive shift signal b shifted at its positive side and a negative shift signal c shifted to the negative side. Three-phase chopping generating means 4 sequentially selects chopping signal a, positive shift signal b and negative shift signal c, and obtains the output of shifted three-phase signals u, v, w. An output synthetic generating means 5 of each phase obtains U-phase synthetic wave u4, V-phase synthetic wave v4 and W-phase synthetic wave w4, which are obtained by adding output signals u, v, w to each of subtraction synthesis trapezoidal pulses.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
