PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burdens on a patient at the time of line abnormality and to perform real time transmission by interrupting a transmission processing by the abnormality detection of a vital information transmission circuit, re- transmitting information in a memory based on an information retransmission request from a doctor terminal and restarting the transmission processing after the completion. ;SOLUTION: For instance, when a telephone line is disconnected and the transmission of vital information is interrupted before a vital sensor 32 completes the measurement processing of about 20 minutes, the respective CPUs of the doctor terminal and a patient terminal display the line abnormality from the status of a modem. Then, the CPU of the patient terminal informs a vital interface 33. Thus, the vital interface 33 interrupts the transmission processing, continues the measurement processing and performs storage in the memory 34. Then, by the retransmission request from the doctor terminal, the information stored in the memory 34 is re-transmitted. After retransmission is ended, the transmission is restarted. Thus, the need of re-measurement processing is eliminated and the burdens on the patient are reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
