PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security by providing an important data security maintaining device capable of detecting unauthorized unpacking not detected by a conventional microswitch system. ;SOLUTION: This device is composed of an important data holding memory 20, an important data management processor 30, a temperature sensor 40, a distortion detection element 50, a main processor 60 and a device case body 70. In the case of performing the unauthorized unpacking, the device case body 70 is opened, destroyed or bored. In the case, force is added to the device case body 70 and the distortion detection element 50 installed to the device case body 70 is distorted. A piezoelectric element is used for the distortion detection element 50. A voltage is generated in the piezoelectric element by distortion 51 and the voltage is inputted to the important data management processor 30 as distortion data 52. The important data management processor recognizes that the device case body 70 is unpacked and executes a processing 31 for eliminating important data to the important data holding memory 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
