PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which can be recycled over and over. ;SOLUTION: The surface of the recording medium 1 is coated with a film 2 consisting of a removable polymer layer or pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and recording is performed on the film 2. The recording medium is recycled by adding a thermal foaming agent in the film 2 and heating the used recording medium 1 so that the film may be peeled off. It is possible to use an ordinary polymer coating film or an ordinary pressure sensitive adhesive for the polymer layer or the pressure sensitive layer 2, desirably, which has thermal foaming property; and it is good to use composition incorporating a component which produces gas by heating. The polymer layer or the pressure sensitive adhesive layer has adhesive property or stickiness to the recording medium to be recycled and has characteristic that the adhesive property or the stickiness is lowered or vanished because the above component causes a foaming phenomenon when it is heated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
