摘要
Device for the simultaneous determination of water content or degree of moisture and electrical conductivity in soils or materials with a low dielectric constant. A device for simultaneously determining the degree of moisture and electrical conductivity in soils, based on the dependence existing between these values and the real and imaginary parts of the complex dielectric constant of the soil which is determined using a stable, single- frequency electromagnetic wave applied to a probe, whose dielectric is the material itself to be measured, so that the complex electrical impedance of the probe is measured by means of an impedance bridge, doubly self-balanced in quadrature, at the frequency used (between 30 and 200 MHz), a measurement that gives the moisture (proportional to the imaginary part) and the electrical conductivity (proportional to the real part) of the medium in which the probe has been inserted. The probe is formed of electrodes with two or more conductors of suitable length (generally 12 mm) for the frequency used, immersed in the material, connected at one end to the impedance bridge and open at the opposite end. The self-balancing of the impedance bridge is carried out by means of two synchronous detectors or multipliers that use the same excitation signal from the bridge as reference signals, but with phases in quadrature in order to be able to separate the measurement of the real and imaginary parts of the complex impedance presented by the probe, in each detector. Measuring the probe's impedance is carried out differentially between the connected and disconnected probe states. IMAGE
