Use of black liquor from the manufacture of paper pulp in the production of solid and liquid organic soil improvers for agricultural soils Black liquor, a by-product from the manufacture of cellulose pulp by the Kraft process can be used to prepare solid and liquid organic soil improvers by mixing the said black liquor with iron sulphate and a magnesium mineral or magnesite, or alternatively with water and a dissolution coadjuvant. These soil improvers can have a highly humidified organic matter content as well as Mg, Fe, Mn and Zn. These soil improvers provide organic material for the soil, thus increasing its moisture content, and have application in agriculture.
