PURPOSE: To form the time division multiplexer using the route searching system in the time division multiplexer network capable of immediately clearing the influence range of a fault. ;CONSTITUTION: A time division multiplexer 1 including plural transmission line interfaces 20-20n which house transmission lines, plural terminal interfaces 10-10n which house the terminal equipment, time switch (TSW) 50 exchanging the time slots, and control part 600 equipped with a communication part 62 for a communication for the other station and consisting of more than three stations is provided. In searching a route by communication from the specific station to the other opposite stations for the control part 600, an opposite information table 63 which stores the opposite station number for ID number and ID numbers in the opposite station according to the identification numbers (ID numbers) to be given to a path is provided. The communication part 62 provided to the control part 60 reads out the opposite information table on the other station.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
