PURPOSE:To receive a transmission signal from a base station in an excellent way by allowing signals in the 2nd signal period sent from plural antennas of a base station at a radio equipment of a mobile station and discriminating which of the signals is received more excellently and informing the result to the base station. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is sent from a mobile station, a part of an output signal of a receiver 33 is inputted to a control circuit 37 in the base station. An output signal level of a reception circuit 33 is observed and the reception of a preamble signal P is discriminated, then the control circuit 37 measures the reception level by a time length being a half that of a signal P, the signal level at that time is stored, a control signal 371 is switched and when the changeover of a switch circuit 32-1 is finished, the measurement of the output signal level of the reception circuit 33 is started to store a measurement signal level. The signal level and a signal level measured precedingly are compared and a control signal is outputted to a circuit 32-1 for the selection of a route corresponding to the higher signal level. Then the output signal of a demultiplexer 35 is monitored to apply the said operation every time the signal P is received.
