PURPOSE:To obtain a method for detecting sensitivity of a plant structure material for detecting its grain boundary corrosion cracking sensitivity in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A method for detecting sensitivity comprises a sensitivity detecting electrochemical cell placed movably in a PWR plant ICM housing 1 or an instrumentation tube 114. By providing an electrochemical measuring system 2 for performing electrochemical potential measurement such as pulse voltametry and a remote operation system 3 for performing remote control of the electrochemical cell, pulse electrochemical measurement is performed while a target to be monitored is being monitored, thereby electrochemically detecting sensitivity inside a plant structure capillary tube or the like in a very short time. Therefore health of the structure material of a nuclear plant, a thermal power plant and a chemical plant can be maintained and preventive maintenance is possible.
