PURPOSE: To provide a cover for spacecraft unit, in which sunlight is not converted on a spacecraft, which has self-holding property in a convex shape, which is thin and light, whose manufacture and fitting area easy and which is transparent to a radio frequency. ;CONSTITUTION: A cover 10 has a convex dome 12 having a first plurality of ribs 1 and a second plurality of parallel ribs 16. The ribs self-hold the dome in a convex shape. Drawstrings 32 fitted at the mooring points 34 of a unit are inserted at the peripheral part and the cover is fitted to the unit. A cover material is made into a layup body containing a conduction layer and a thermal control layer and the conduction layer is a semiconductor like germanium.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
