PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve generated output, by arranging a valve which is closed during a period little bit before a top dead center from a part little bit passed a bottom dead center in a compression stroke while being opened at the same time with an air-fuel mixture exclusive intake valve or little bit later at the time of an intake stroke. SOLUTION: In a 4 cycle gasoline engine, the arrangement of a valve is so schemed that a stoke is lengthened in an expansion stroke than a compression stroke. Namely, an air-fuel exclusive intake valve 1 and an exhaust valve 2 are arranged, and besides, a valve 3 is arranged which is opened at the same time with the air-fuel exclusive intake valve 1 or a little bit later at the time of an intake stroke and closed during a period little bit before a top dead center from the part passed a little bit from a bottom dead center when entered in a compression stroke, and an air exclusive intake valve 4 is arranged which is opened before an air-fuel mixture is excessively expanded so as to be resistant of rotation at the time of the expansion stroke and closed at the bottom dead center. Then, a carburetor 6 is connected to the intake valve 1 through an intake passage, and also a space 9 by which the air-fuel mixture is temporarily stopped is connected to the valve 3 through a passage 10.
