PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lightweight lithium hydroperoxide base having low vapor pressure and capable of increasing a time capable of continuously operating laser for airplanes by mixing an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide with lithium hydroxide. ;SOLUTION: Solid lithium hydroxide monohydrate is added to hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution having 70-90wt.% concentration and the lithium hydroxide is dissolved in the aqueous solution as much as possible while keeping the temperature of the mixture at +15°F to 30°F to produce basic hydrogen peroxide. Then, the basic hydrogen peroxide is cooled to an order of-15°F and stored at ≤-10°F. The basic hydrogen peroxide is reacted with an element selected from chlorine, fluorine, bromine, iodine and astatine to produce singlet delta oxygen.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
