PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment filled mat which is the most suitable to vegetation of a slope face on the waterside of a dam or river, or on the dry ground. ;SOLUTION: A mesh part is composed of yarn fabricated in plural lines and flat cord yarn zig-zag fabricated between the lines, circumferential edte parts of the surface and back mesk parts are connected to each other to form a sand containing part 60, part of the surface and the back mesh parts is connected to form a middle partition part 61, a sediment filling port is provided in the surface mesh part, and at least the surface mesh parts is provided with a raised part 40 or a pile part. As a result, the raised part 40 or the pile part covers mesh in the mesh parts in layer, so flow of a mix 12 in the sediment containing part 60 outward, or vaporization of water content in the sediment containing part 60 outward can be prevented. There is no danger of causing troubles to germination of seeds in the sediment containing part 60. This device is therefore the most suitable to vegetation on a slope face on the dry ground, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
