PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bathing aid which is made inexpensive with a limited installing space in safety and without making a person suffering bysbasia feel unease in transit concerning an apparatus with which the person suffering bysbasia ridding on the wheel chair with a truck part and a seat part separable can take a bath all with the seat part of the wheel chair. ;SOLUTION: A lift 5 with a rotatable and liftable spiral body 29 is arranged in proximity to a bathtub, the spiral body has an arm 33 extending outward in the radial direction thereof and the arm is provided with a retaining device at the tip thereof to hold a seat part 2 of the wheel chair. A strut 12 of the lift is placed on a carrier 11 and the retaining device 34 is formed in the shape of a cantilevered fork or a plate horizontally extending. The carrier 11 advances to the side of the wheel chair and the retaining device 34 is inserted under the seat part 2. The carrier where the wheel chair is placed may be advanced toward the lift. The strut 12 is provided with a strut frame 20 securely erected, a vertical spiral shaft 24 pivoted on the support frame and a lifting or lowering drive means 27 turning integrally with the spiral shaft.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
