PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle the feathers and hairs of domestic animals, such as quails, chicken, pigs and dogs, and cultured fishes, etc., which are heretofore discarded as a feed for domestic animal. SOLUTION: Actinomyces are cultured in media contg. the feathers and/or the hairs to decompose the protein of the feathers and/or the hairs to amino acid and/or peptide. The wax is decomposed to lower fatty acid, by which the feed for the domestic animals is obtd. At this time, a mixture composed of the waste of agricultural product processing and food waste, etc., may be used to the feathers of the hairs, etc., as the media. Partial compounding of the feed with standard feed is possible as well.
